Resolved Question: How much is the fine for having an expired license plate sticker?

I was pulled outside of Augusta, Georgia for having an expired license plate. I got the car in the fall, and my birthday is in January, so that's apparently when my tags expired. I was not expecting my tags to only last 3 months before I had to pay for renewal again, as I am a new and inexperienced driver. The policeman told me that I would have to find out the price of the fee from some organization in South Carolina, since I reside there. As I have no idea what that organization is, I decided to search for them on the internet and have had no luck. Does anyone know who I should contact or what the fine usually is for this sort of thing? Or should I just go to court and hope they dismiss the fine? Thanks.... Read More »
